1. Main Features
✅ Precise flow control: The V-cut and valve seat form a linear or equal percentage flow rate, which is suitable for high-precision control.
✅ Strong shear ability: The V-shaped edge can cut off fibers and granular media (such as pulp and wastewater), preventing clogging.
✅ High sealing: Metal solid seal or soft seal (PTFE) are optional, suitable for heavy-duty applications.
✅ Large gear ratio (up to 100:1 or more), suitable for a wide range of flow variations.
✅ Corrosion Resistance and Wear Resistance: Stainless steel, ceramic coating and other materials can be selected to adapt to corrosive environments.
2. Structural composition
● V-Ball: The main component is V-cut, the rotation angle (0°~90°) determines the flow size.
● Valve seat: Usually, PTFE (soft seal) or metal (hard seal) is used to ensure tightness.
● Valve stem: Connects with actuator (manual, electric, pneumatic) to control the rotation of the ball.
● Valve body: cast or forged, materials can be carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, etc.
3. Applicable operating conditions
✔ High-viscosity media (e.g. oil, dirt)
✔ Particle/fibre media (e.g. pulp, wastewater)
✔ Corrosive fluids (acids, alkalis, etc., corrosion-resistant materials must be selected)
✔ High Temperature High Pressure Medium (V-Type Ball Valve with Rigid Seal)
4. Common types
● V-type floating ball valve: the ball floats and the valve seat is pressed by the pressure of the medium, suitable for small and medium-sized diameters.
● V type fixed ball valve: the ball is fixed and the valve stem drives the rotation, suitable for high pressure and large diameters.
● V-type pneumatic/electric control ball valve: With actuators, automatic control is achieved.
