1. Basic structure
● The three-piece flanged ball valve consists of three main parts:
● Left valve body: One end is connected to the pipeline flange.
● Right Valve Body: Part of the flange connection at the other end.
● Middle valve body: The main part containing the ball core and seal, and the left and right valve bodies are bolted together.
This design is convenient for disassembly, maintenance and replacement of internal parts.
2. Main components
● Ball Core (Ball): Usually made of stainless steel, chrome-plated or hardened on the surface to ensure wear resistance and sealing. In the center of the ball there is a through hole that controls the flow of fluid by rotating 90°.
● Valve seat (O-ring): PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), PPL (reinforced polytetrafluoroethylene), or metal materials are commonly used to ensure tightness.
● Valve stem: Connects the actuator (such as a handle, worm gear, or pneumatic device) to the ball core to transmit torque.
● Flange: Conforms to national standards (such as GB/T 9119) and is easy to connect with the pipeline flange.
3. Main characteristics
● Good sealing: The soft seal design can ensure zero leakage and is suitable for heavy-duty applications.
● High pressure and high temperature resistance: Depending on the material, it can withstand PN16~PN64 pressure or even higher pressures, and the temperature range is -20°C to 200°C (soft seal) or higher (metal seal).
● Small flow resistance: When using a full-bore design, the resistance of the liquid is similar to that of the pipeline, which is suitable for high flow requirements.
● Flexible operation: 90° rotary switch, supports manual, electric or pneumatic control.
● Easy Maintenance: The three-piece design allows you to inspect the valve seat and ball core without removing the pipeline.
