1. Design features
● Three-piece valve body: It consists of a left valve body, a right valve body, and an intermediate valve body (including the valve seat and ball core), which are bolted together for easy disassembly and maintenance.
● Carbon Steel Material: The valve body is made of WCB (A216) or A105 forged steel, which is resistant to high pressure and high temperature and suitable for heavy-duty applications.
● Fixed or floating ball design:
○ Fixed ball (suitable for high pressure): The ball is fixed by the upper and lower valve stem to reduce the effect of medium pressure on the seal.
○ Floating ball (suitable for medium pressure): The ball presses the valve seat tightly under the pressure of the medium, ensuring a tight seal.
● Double sealing:
○ Soft Seal (PTFE/Reinforced PTFE): Suitable for low temperatures and corrosive environments.
○ Metal solid seal (stellite/304 graphite alloy): suitable for high temperature, high pressure and granular media.
● Anti-Static Design: Some models are equipped with static dissipation devices to avoid the danger of flammable environments caused by static electricity.
● Flame Retardant Design: Meets API 607/API 6FA standards and can remain sealed during a fire.
2. Principle of operation
● Open: The handle or actuator is rotated 90°, the ball opening aligns with the pipe, and the liquid passes through it.
● Closed: The ball is rotated 90°, the hole is perpendicular to the pipe, and the liquid is cut off.
● Flow control (some models): Flow rate can be controlled by partial rotation.
3. Main advantages
✅ High pressure resistance: suitable for PN16-PN100 or even higher pressure levels (e.g. class 600).
✅ High temperature resistance: Carbon steel material can withstand temperatures from -29°C to 425°C (soft seal) or higher (hard seal).
✅ Easy to maintain: The three-piece structure can be completely disassembled to replace the valve seat, ball and other wearing parts.
✅ Long Service Life: Carbon steel is corrosion resistant (the surface can be nickel-plated or coated with an anti-corrosion layer), suitable for industrial environments.
✅ Different Drive Modes: Manual (Handle/Gear), Pneumatic, Electric, Hydraulic, etc.
