1. Basic Structure and Characteristics
(1) Integrated filter structure
Built-in filter: A stainless steel filter (usually 80-200 cells) is built into the front of the valve to trap impurities such as ● ● welding slag, rust, and solids.
Removable design for cleaning: Some models are equipped with a removable filter that can be cleaned and maintained without removing the valve.
(2) Fully welded valve body
The valve body is made by integral welding without the risk of leakage and is suitable for high pressure (PN16-PN40) and direct underground installation.
The material can be selected from carbon steel (WCB), stainless steel (304/316), etc., with high corrosion resistance.
(3) Ball and sealing system
Fixed or floating ball design, double-sided seal (ANSI VI class).
Sealing material:
Soft seal (PTFE/PEEK): suitable for clean and hot water ≤150°C.
Metal solid seal: resistant to high temperatures (≤550°C), suitable for steam or media containing particles.
(4) Management Method
Manual (handle, gearbox).
Automatic (electric, pneumatic), suitable for remote control or large diameter valves.
2. Typical Application Scenarios
● Central heating system: filtration of welding slag and scale in the pipeline to protect the heat exchanger and circulation pump.
● Water supply network: Sludge and rust collection to ensure the purity of drinking or industrial water.
● Oil & Gas: Filtration of solids in the pipeline to prevent damage to the valve or compressor.
● Chemical Process: Protection of precision equipment such as reactors and flow meters.
3. Selection considerations
● Filter accuracy: select the number of cells according to the particle size of the impurities (for example, heating systems usually use 100 cells).
● Medium Temperature: High temperature (>150°C) requires a metal rigid seal.
● Installation Direction: Please note that the direction of fluid flow is the direction indicated on the valve.
● Maintenance requirements: It is recommended to choose a removable filter model for the conditions of frequent impurity accumulation.
